Veteran Athletes Registration
Registration for veteran athletes (active on our 2022 roster and in good standing with the organization) begins on January 3, 2024 at 8 am.
New Athlete Registration
Registration for new athletes begins on February 16, 2024, at 8 am.
You must complete the online registration to register for our program. In addition, the registration paperwork below is required.
Registration Paperwork Required (After Athlete is Registered and on Roster):
Registration paperwork, will not be accepted electronically, e.g., via email or text. Instead, you must turn in paperwork via U.S. mail to: Canton Lions Jr. Football Club, PO Box 871486, Canton, MI 48187 -- or hand in paperwork directly to the secretary, football unit director or cheerleading unit director, e.g., at a monthly parents meeting (second Tuesday of each month). Only the secretary, football unit director, and cheerleading unit director are collecting paperwork. Please do not attempt to turn in paperwork to anyone else.
The paperwork required for all athletes (new and returning):
Two Copies of the Concussion Form signed by parent/guardian AND athlete. Only the page with the signatures is required to turn in.
Two Copies of the MHSAAStudent-Athlete Physical Exam / Medical History Form signed by both a physician and a parent/guardian. The health form must be for a current physical. NOTE: Physical dated 4/15/23 or later is acceptable.
Two Copies of Proof of Grade for 8th grade athletes only.
New Athletes (in addition to the above paperwork):
The forms can be found on the "forms and fliers" page of the club website, www.lionsfootballcheer.com. You can begin turning in forms at any time. The sooner, the better! Please be sure to make a copy of any forms you turn in, for your files. 2024 Cost Information
Registration is $275 for Football or Cheer. In addition, each athlete is responsible for mandatory fundraising through a $150 buyout or through an additional fundraiser. Fundraising is due prior to the first game. Please see the handbook for details, including responsibilities regarding parent volunteer time. Families will be capped at 3 athletes; any additional athletes registered will not cost, however mandatory fundraising applies to each athlete in a family.

Please also note that a mandatory fundraiser will (again) be required for each athlete this season (1 athlete in a family = 1 fundraiser requirement; 2 athletes in a family = 2 fundraiser requirements, etc.).
Mandatory Fundraising You have your choice of 3 options for fundraising this year.
Toward the beginning of the season, we take yearbook photos in uniform. Purchasing a photo package is optional and prices vary based on selection. We offer a yearbook for sale at the end of the season for approximately $45.
To celebrate our season and wrap up, we hold a banquet in November. Current athletes and coaches attend for free, additional guests must purchase a ticket. The ticket cost in 2023 was $30 per guest.
